After weeks and weeks of no serious amount of moisture, I get really excited when I see this. Finally, some rain.
But, no. It was yet another "high fire danger" warning. Dry weather, plus dry grass, plus low humidity, plus more dry weather, plus wind equals high fire hazard. I'm getting tired of this. All of the hazardous weather outlooks this past month have been fire hazards. When is it going to rain? Maybe tomorrow. Thirty percent chance. Come on, rain!
When will I see the next one of these? |

I totally understand what you are going through. 2011 was a severe drought in Texas. As you can see on my blog, I lost several very large trees and the fires came very close. My garden didn't receive one drop of rain on it. I had no idea you needed rain too. At least, we have had some relief this month. Maybe you will get some tomorrow...
We are not nearly in the dire situation that Texas was in, although our summer was pretty hot and dry. We had some rain early in December, which helped but didn't make up for our deficit. I am glad to know that Texas has had some relief.
Here in Lincolnshire this afternoon (after days of wind and rain) we had a blasting hail storm followed by a spectacular rainbow! [Photo on today's blog post] I'll have some of our rain put ito barrels and shipped across to you immediately! It'll help us recover from being so damp and squelchy here...
I would so love it if you could just send a few of your rain clouds this way...
